Creating a Fully Automated Social Media AI System

Introduction to Social Media Automation 🔄

After a long day of work, the last thing you want to do is figure out what to post on your social media platforms. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could train AI to write in your tone of voice and post for you automatically every single day? This would help you build your brand and engage with your followers. This system is exactly what I’m going to show you how to set up today.

Setting Up Make.com 🚀

The tool is called Make.com. Make.com is a robotic processing automation tool that allows you to string together different types of software in a flow on automation so they all operate seamlessly. The best part? It’s a no-code tool, meaning you can set up this entire AI automation without writing a single line of code.

Once you get your make.com account, create a new scenario. The first thing you’re going to set up is the trigger. This will tell Make what starts the automation. It’s very intuitive; you basically instruct it to use one tool after another in a visual way.

Using Google Sheets as a Trigger 📅

The first trigger for our automation is a Google Sheet. You will input the URL of a recent article about our industry or niche. AI will then write all of our social media posts based on this article.

Set up Google Sheets in Make by selecting “watch new row.” Every time a new row (a new news article) is added, it triggers the automation. Set it to run every day at a specific time, like 8:00 a.m.

Summarizing Articles with Perplexity 📰

Next, you need AI to read the article. You can use Perplexity, a competitor to OpenAI and Claude, which can access the web in real-time. This is crucial because OpenAI and Claude have a cut-off date and don’t have the latest information.

Set up a free account in Perplexity and get your API key. Connect this API key to Make. Use the “create a chat completion” module in Perplexity to summarize the article. Test your setup to ensure it works correctly.

Creating Social Media Posts with AI 📝

Now that you have the article summary, say you need to create posts for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter). You can use a router to perform multiple actions at once. You will use Claude to write these posts because it currently generates better output than OpenAI.

For Facebook, create a message in Claude and use a pre-written prompt to generate a post. For Instagram, use OpenAI to create a visually appealing post with emojis and hashtags. Repeat the process for X and LinkedIn, using either Claude or OpenAI.

Generating Images for Instagram 📸

For Instagram, you can also generate an image using OpenAI’s DALL-E 3. Add an additional module in Make to generate the image based on the article summary. Test the generated image to ensure it meets your standards.

Connecting to Social Media Platforms 🌐

Once your posts and images are ready, the next step is connecting to your social media accounts. For Facebook, use the “create a post” module and connect it to your Facebook page. For Instagram, use the “create a photo post” module and connect it to your Instagram for Business account.

Repeat the process for X and LinkedIn, ensuring that you authorize all connections and select the appropriate pages or profiles.

Testing and Finalizing the Automation ⚙️

Before going live, it’s crucial to test your setup. Run the automation to see if everything works as expected. Check the outputs for Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn. If the results aren’t satisfactory, modify your prompts and test again.

Once you’re happy with the outputs, save your work and turn on the automation. Make sure your Google Sheet has enough news links to keep the automation running daily.

Conclusion and Next Steps 🎉

Congratulations! You’ve set up a fully automated social media AI system that posts for you every single day. Make.com will help you build your brand and engage with your followers effortlessly.
